Barbara Fier, age 69, of Marshall, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at her home in Marshall, Minnesota. Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2019, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall.
Barbara Rose Fier was born on May 19, 1949, in Lyon County, Minnesota, to John and Cecelia (Lozinski) Fier. Barb was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She grew up and attended school in Taunton and graduated from Minneota High School in 1967. It was while attending high school, she met Ronald Jensen. The couple married in 1967 at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.
The couple moved around quite a bit and were blessed with 2 sons. Barb stayed home and cared for her boys while they were young. When the boys had grown, Barb found a job at McLaughlin and Schultz working road construction until her retirement. After her retirement, Barbara’s spare time was spent trying her luck at the casino.
Barbara Fier died in Marshall, Minnesota, on Sunday, February 10, 2019. She had reached the age of 69 years, 8 months, and 22 days. Blessed be her memory.
Barbara is survived by her 2 sons, Todd Jensen of Canby, Tim (Tammy) Jensen of Marshall; 5 grandchildren, Cole Jensen, Jade Jensen, Brooklyn Jensen, Tally Jensen, Coty (Haylee) Jensen; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis (Martha) Fier of Apple Valley, Karen (Roger) Moody of Long Lake, Adrienne (Elden) Ouverson of Pine City; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Doris, Rose Marie, Ramona, Harold, and James.
