Marshall: Catherine R. Veld, age 72, of Marshall, passed away at the Prairie Home Hospice House on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. A private memorial service is planned for a later date. The Hamilton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.hamiltonfh.com.
Catherine Ruth Veld was born on June 7, 1939 in Marshalltown, Iowa to parents Milo and Hazel (Petrie) Franklin.
She is survived by her four children, Lil (and Mike) Schroeder of Marshall, Tim Ebersole of Marshalltown, IA, Rod (and Michelle) Ebersole of Grant, CO and Scott (and Angie) Veld of Childress, TX; five grandchildren, Sandi Forsythe of Monument, CO, Scott Schroeder of Marshall, Randi Milsap of Ames, IA, Tosha Fore and Jorde Veld of Childress, TX and two sisters, Marion Severe and Edith Davis of Marshalltown, IA; also many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Phyllis Morrison.
