Charles Grover Richeson was born to William and Mary Richeson on April 15, 1920 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He graduated from Henryetta High School and then went on to attend Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State). Charles graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and went to work in many locations for PPG Glass Company. In 1941, he married Mildred Lamer. They went on to live in Pittsburgh, PA, Skokee, IL, Evansville, IN, Milford, CO, Philadelphia, MI, and finally Marshall, MN in 1974. Upon retiring in 1982, he continued to aide the community with his experience and love of his work.
Charles’ enjoyments in life included his work; he was constantly around electrical equipment. He also was very proud of the collegiate endowments in his and Mildred’s names that are available to Southwest Minnesota State University students in the areas of engineering and nursing. He always cherished the friends he gained from the Minneota Manor Care Facility in Minneota. He was also a 32nd degree Mason with Delta Lodge 119.
Charles passed away at the Prairie Home Hospice House in Marshall at the age of 88 years 9 months and 15 days.
He is survived by sons, Charles, Jr., (and Carol) Richeson of Imperial, MO, and Paul (and Betty) Richeson of El Paso, TX; eight grandchildren, David, Drew, Brian, Scott, Kelly, Kim, Beth, and Mindy; and great-grandchildren, Tristan, Sebastian, Drew, Marisa, Livvy, Zach, Cameron, and Jillian.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Richeson in 1995; and great-grandchild, Jennifer Ann.
Blessed be the memory of Charles Richeson.
