Dianne Marie Madrigal

Dianne Madrigal, age 54, of Marshall, Minnesota, passed away with family at her side on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. Funeral Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. Interment will be later this spring. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service, from Noon - 1:00 p.m., on Friday at the church.

Dianne Marie Page was born on September 12, 1963 in Ft. Riley, Kansas, to parents, Darrell and Catherine (Webb) Page. She was baptized as a youth and later confirmed in Webster, South Dakota. She grew up there and graduated from Webster High School with the class of 1982. She was married later that year to Kelly Gramberg of Watertown and had a daughter, Jacolyn. She stayed at home caring for her family later working at Dakota Quilting Co. while living in Webster, South Dakota.

Dianne later moved and furthered her education at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall starting in 1988. She was working for Carrow’s Dry Cleaners in Marshall. A few years later she began her relationship with Raymond Madrigal. The couple had another daughter, Brianna. Dianne and Raymond were married while on vacation in Sacramento, California, on December 28, 2005. Dianne started working at Shopko in Marshall in 1992 working her way up to Presentation Manager and just celebrated 25 years there before her cancer diagnosis forced her leave for treatment.

Dianne was a member of First Lutheran Church in Marshall where she taught Sunday School. She also belonged to Job’s Daughters in her youth and was a faithful supporter of the United Way and the March of Dimes campaigns. Her enjoyments in life included reading, sudoku and other math puzzles, dominating Words With Friends, ice skating, and anything outdoors – especially camping and fishing at the lake. She lived for her two young grandchildren, Evan and Tessa.

Dianne died following a tough battle with breast cancer on February 8, 2018, at the age of 54 years, 4 months, and 27 days. She will be dearly missed.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Raymond Madrigal of Marshall; 2 daughters, Jacolyn (Gramberg) and Paul Kotlarz of Shakopee, Brianna Madrigal of Marshall; 2 grandchildren, Evan and Tessa Kotlarz; grandpuppy, Bandit; siblings, Robert (and Pam) Page of Webster, SD, Sharon (and Terry) Brekke of Watertown, SD, Virginia (and Greg) Klein of Watertown, SD; nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Catherine Page; father-in-law, Cristobal Madrigal; and former husband, Kelly Gramberg.
