Donna M. Kelley, age 76, of Marshall, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 12, at 2 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshall. Donna Mae Minnick was born on September 17, 1931, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Donald and Beula (Bamford) Minnick. She was baptized and confirmed at Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshall. She attended and graduated from Owatonna High School. Donna worked for a few years at the Weiner Memorial Hospital as a dietician.
On December 27, 1956, Donna was united in marriage to John Kelley at the Methodist Church in Marshall. To this union, six children were born. She worked the rest of her life as a wonderful homemaker and housewife. She and John farmed near Marshall until 1970 and then they moved to town where John went to work for SSU. They retired in 2000.
Donna enjoyed many pastimes such as fishing, hunting, embroidery, sewing, baking, cooking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. She was also a member of the Eagle’s Club.
Donna passed away at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 20 days.
Survivors include her husband, John “Jack” Kelley of Marshall; four children, Deb (and Stuart Palm) Myhre of Wisconsin, John Jr. (and Ann) Kelley of Tracy, Cindy “Cookie” Kelley of Marshall, and Amanda Kelley of Slayton; four grandchildren, Shawn, Darin, Jennifer, and Timothy; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Isaiah; brother, Dean (and Susie) Minnick of Michigan; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant children.
