Ella Frahm, age 98, of Marshall, formerly of Walnut Grove, Minnesota, died on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. Private Family Funeral Services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the New Woodlawn Cemetery in Pipestone, Minnesota.
Ella Alberta Gildmeister was born on December 26, 1919, in Pipestone, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John and Minnie (Wussow) Gildemeister. Ella was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her youth in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in Pipestone.
On March 10, 1937, Ella was united in marriage to Clifford Frahm in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple engaged in farming in the Ruthton area and in 1960 they moved to Windom, Minnesota. They family relocated to Walnut Grove in 1965. Together, they raised their son Jeff and shared over 56 years of marriage together.
Ella was a homemaker and mother and spend about 10 years working as an aide at the Tracy Nursing Home. She served with the ladies’ aid groups at the English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove and enjoyed being with her family.
Ella Frahm was called home to heaven on March 17, 2018, in Marshall, Minnesota, at the age of 98 years, 2 months, and 19 days. Blessed be her memory.
Ella is survived by her son, Jeff Frahm of Marshall; two grandsons, Jason (Pam) Frahm of Vesta, Chad (Sandy) Frahm of Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Colby; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Frahm; daughter-in-law, Ellen Frahm; and several siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Blessed be her memory.
