Gary Lee Davis

Gary Davis, age 80, of Marshall, Minnesota, died on Friday, November 13, 2020, at the Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. A graveside service, open to the public, will take place at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Marshall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, any memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor’s choosing.

Gary Lee Davis was born in Marshall, Minnesota, on July 27, 1940, to George Donald and Shirley (McChesney) Davis. He attended school in Marshall, graduating with the class of 1958. Gary then went on to work several jobs in Marshall. He spent over 20 years with the Lyon County Highway Department and recently worked at Gesme Printing in Marshall prior to retiring.

Gary’s interests in life centered around being involved in family events and looking after his son and grandchildren. He also raised homing pigeons for a time.

Gary Davis died on Friday, November 13, 2020, at age of 80 years, 3 months, and 17 days. Blessed be his memory.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Paul Davis of Marshall; 2 grandchildren, Felicity and Natalie Davis of New Ulm; ; 4 siblings, Pam (Jim) Bartlett of Marshall, Joanne (Russ) Oglesby of Marshall, Gail Bethune of Marshall, Bob Davis of Blaine; dear friends, Judy Werpy of Marshall; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Gary is preceded in death by parents, George and Shirley Davis; brother, Jim Davis; sister-in-law, Marlene Davis; and brother-in-law, Edward Bethune.
