Gregory Large, age 62, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, and Marshall, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the Scottsdale Medical Center, Scottsdale, Arizona. Memorial Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. Following a reception, Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Garden, Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. A Prayer Service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Monday, at the church.
Gregory Dean Large was born on July 20, 1955, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He was the son of Jack and Dolores (Barnum) Large. Greg was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Wabasso, Minnesota. He attended Wabasso Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1973. He furthered his education at the Vocational College in Pipestone.
In 1975, Greg was united in marriage to Pamela Sheimo at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls and they made their home in Olivia. They soon moved to Marshall and raised their 2 daughters, Nicole and Britney. Greg worked for over 24 years at Hy-Vee before starting his own real estate business. Greg and Pam ran Elite Reality for many years in the Marshall area. Greg retired in November of last year and the couple moved to San Tan Valley, Arizona.
Greg was passionate about many things in life. He loved his dogs, Marvin and Indy, Joel Osteen’s ministry and guidance, NASCAR, antiquing, jet skiing, visiting with friends, traveling, bluegrass music, and being outdoors to hunt and fish. He truly loved spending time with his family and will be missed by many.
Greg passed away surrounded by his family on June 26, 2018, at the Scottsdale Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. He reached the age of 62 years, 11 months, and 6 days. Blessed be his memory.
Greg is survived by his wife, Pam Large, of San Tan Valley, AZ; daughters, Nicole Large of Plymouth, Britney Large of Plymouth; grandson, Caeleb Large of Plymouth; sister, Patt (Doug) Johnson of Brandon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dolores Large.
