Joanne Marie Wilson, age 72, of Marshall, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014, at her residence in Marshall. Graveside services are Tuesday, November 11, 2014, 9:00 A.M., at the Russell City Cemetery. The public is welcome to attend. Clergy Officiating: Pastor Diane Gravley
Joanne Marie Zvorak was born on June 9, 1942, in Marshall, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Alta (Pinckney) Zvorak. Joanne attended Russell Public Schools and graduated from Russell High School with the class of 1960. She married Ron Wilson in April of 1963. The couple was blessed with 5 children, Julie, Ronnie Jr., Gene, Scott, and Valerie. The family was active in the United States Military and moved all over the country.
Joanne settled in the Russell and Marshall before spending about 15 years living in Redwood Falls. Joanne returned to live in Marshall about a year and a half ago. Joanne was a homemaker and housewife and spend 5 years working at Wal-Mart prior to her retirement in 2005. Joanne’s enjoyments in life included quilting, sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, crafts, and reading.
Joanne died on Friday, November 7, 2014, in Marshall, Minnesota at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 29 days.

Joanne is survived by her 5 children, Julie Medina of Fairview, NM, Ronnie Wilson Jr. of Redwing, MN, Gene (Elsa) Wilson of Fountain, CO, Scott (Julie) Wilson of Sioux Falls, SD, Valerie Wilson of Carlsbad, NM; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Lowell “Butch” (Sharon) Zvorak of Buffalo, MN, Jack (Marilyn) Zvorak of Kansas City, MO, Larry Zvorak of Marshall, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alta Zvorak; granddaughter, Yvonne Medina; sister, Jeanne and brother, Loren Zvorak.
