Marshall; John L. Felton, age 77, of Canon City, CO, formerly of Marshall, passed away at the St. Thomas More Hospital in Canyon City on Friday, February 25, 2011. Celebration of John’s life will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 4th at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:30 P.M. until the time of the service on Friday. John Lee Felton was born to parents Pat and Grace Felton on January 7, 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa. He entered the United State Army on April 22, 1953 and was honorably discharged on April 9, 1955. On December 31, 1964, John was united in marriage to Wilma Clark at Visalia, California. He worked for IBM for 27 years as a customer engineer. After he retired from IBM he owned and operated Felton Typewriter Service in Marshall until he and Wilma moved to California in 1989. Then they moved to Canon City, Colorado in 1992. John passed away at the St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City on Friday, February 25, 2011. He had reached the age of 77 years, 1 month and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, Wilma of Canyon City; two sons, Randy (and Ann) and James (and Nancy) Felton of Marshall; four grandchildren, Kristina, Mark, Matthew and Adan; three great grandchildren, Ashton, Payton and Brielle; two step-grandchildren, Seth and Monica Fales; three sisters; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. John’s enjoyments in life included his family, fishing and camping. Blessed Be His Memory
