Joshua Arntz, age 37, of Granite Falls, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 12, 2026. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. The afternoon will conclude with a Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m.
Joshua James Arntz was born on May 3, 1989, in Bismarck, North Dakota. He was the son of Jon and Michelle (Bailey) Arntz. He spent his childhood in Mandan, North Dakota, before moving with his family to Marshall, Minnesota, in 2000.
With school not his "favorite" place to be, Joshua shifted his time and talents into the music that he loved. He worked hard at his craft and tried to hone his talents whenever he could - affectionately known to his fans as rapper, "Skrilla."
Joshua worked as a cook and a chef at several places including Prairie's Edge Casino Resort in Granite Falls and the Montevideo schools. He enjoyed serving others and many coworkers and friends he was able to interact with along the way.
Joshua was a devoted father to his three children and enjoyed taking big family vacations to a variety of destinations. He could also be found gaming with Marty Himmelspach when he wasn't working on his music.
Joshua Arntz died suddenly on Monday, October 12, 2026, and is now at peace. He reached the age of 37 years, 5 months, and 7 days. Blessed be his memory.
He is survived by his parents, Jon and Michelle Arntz of Marshall; 4 children, Kiannalee Olson of Cottonwood, Tre' Arntz of Granite Falls, Darrien Arntz of Granite Falls, Aviella Arntz of Granite Falls; grandmothers, Linda Himmelspach of Marshall, Loretta Arntz of Bismarck, ND; sister, Keri Arntz (and Raymond Johnson) of Marshall; nephews, Junior Johnson, Greyson Johnson; other relatives and many friends.
Joshua is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gerhard Arntz, Walter Bailey; and a step-grandfather, Gary Himmelspach.
