Judith Ann Redding was born on April 2, 1943, in Marshall, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Clifford and Henrietta (Berberick) Redding. Judy was baptized, received First Communion, and was confirmed at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Milroy. Judy graduated from Milroy High School in 1961 then on July 29, 1961, she was united in marriage to Dennis Zollner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Together, they moved to a farm in Wabasso and raised their 5 children. Dennis preceded her in death in 1995.

After reuniting at their 35th class reunion, Judy was married to Kenny Hansen in Redwood Falls on December 23, 1997. The couple made their home in Lucan and the farm outside Wabasso while blending their families to include 7 children. In the fall of 2016, Judy and Kenny moved to Marshall. Kenny passed away in April of 2017.

In addition to being a loving mother and farm wife, Judy also enjoyed working at a local flower shop. Anyone who met Judy would attest to her kind spirit and gentle nature. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and farm wife with the patience to spare. Family and friends were always welcome to visit. Unexpected guests were made a place at the table and were treated to a home-cooked, 5-course meal complete with dessert. She was an excellent cook and baker. Judy was known for her wonderful pies with a flaky crust and baked them often to the delight of all who entered her home. She was blessed with a green thumb and had huge vegetable and flower gardens. Family from town often made visits to the farm in the summer to raid the sweet corn field or pick strawberries. She canned and froze her harvest all summer and fall. Judy also shared her love of gardening and canning with her children and grandchildren as well. Her gentle nature served her well working with livestock. She took great pride in raising animals; she farrowed pigs and raised calves. Her pets were also considered part of the family and treated as such. For 27 years she was Dennis's partner running their snowmobile dealership Zollner Sales and Service. She worked side by side helping customers, planning winter events, and she was in charge of ordering clothing and helped in outfitting customers. Judy was an excellent seamstress and made many dresses for her daughters. In later years, when life slowed down, Kenny and Judy enjoyed going to area casinos and traveling. She was also a lifelong Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan.

Judy is survived by her children, Kimberly (Wally) VanKeulen of Marshall, Jerome Zollner of Lucan, Paula (Bob) Geistfeld of Wood Lake, Valerie Wyffels of Roslyn, SD, and Dean (Jenny) Zollner of Wabasso; step-children, Mary (Dan) Webb of Woodbury, and Tom (Melissa) Hansen of Gulf Breeze, FL; grandchildren, Brittany and Andrew Zollner, Courtney and Colin VanKeulen, Sidney, Parker, and Preston Geistfeld, Briar, Owen, and Avery Wyffels, Scott, Kaleigh and Abbie Zollner; step-grandchildren, Claudia and Norah Webb, Tommy (Amanda)Hansen and Heather (Chadd) Wahl, Brittany Hansen; step-great-granddaughters, Blakely Hansen, Emma, Gracie, Mayah Wahl; siblings, Pat (Sandy) Redding, Terry Redding, and Tom (Sue) Redding, all of Marshall; and sister-in-law, Joyce Redding of Tracy.
