June Dale, age 93, of Marshall, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Minneota Manor. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 9, 2007 at Albright United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service Thursday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the service.
June Irene Dale was born to Fred A. and Zella M. (Douglas) Fligge on June 24, 1914 in Clifton Township. She was baptized and confirmed at the Clifton Evangelical Lutheran Church. She attended school at rural district #42 and went on to graduate from the Marshall High School in 1931.
On February 20, 1935, June was united in marriage to Alfred I. Dale at her parents home in Clifton Township. To this union four sons and five daughters were born. Alfred passed away in 1985.
June passed away at the Minneota Manor on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. She had reached the age of 93 years, 4 months and 13 days.
She is survived by her four sons, Roger (Joanne) of Hanley Falls, Rolland (Janet) of Marshall, Allen of Marshall, and Albert (Karen) of Guthrie, OK; five daughters Carolyn (Jim) Harwood of Roswell, GA, Helen (Bill) Meyenburg of Shelton, WA, Mary DeAustin of Marshall, Peggy (Gene) Dixson of Minneapolis, and Irene Dale of Minneapolis; twenty three grandchildren, Tim Dale, Julie Kosen, Andrea Nienaber, Susan Wilke, Jim Harwood Jr., Sandy Britt, Scott Harwood, Bill Meyenburg Jr., Kelly Meyenburg, Jack Simmons, Tom Dale, Jason Dale, Randy Dale. Stacey Nordin, Linda Vandendriessche, Kathy Andries, David DeAustin, Dawn Oie, Mary Snow, John Dixson, Joe Dixson, Craig Dale, Jesse Dale, Troy Dale and Mark Dale; forty two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a brother, John Fligge of Marshall; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred; three sisters; a brother; son-in-law, Larry DeAustin; and grandson, Jeff Dale. June was a member of Albright United Methodist Church at the time of her death.
