Laurina Gregg, age 92, of Marshall, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the Minneota Manor Care Center. Memorial Services are 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Interment will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, at the Hamilton Funeral Home.

Laurina Evelyn Schultz was born August 31, 1923, in Posen Township, near Wood Lake, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Leopold and Minnie (Kruger) Schultz. Laurina was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Cottonwood and attended country school through the 8th grade. She did babysitting and nanny work before working at both Swift’s and Marshall Produce.
On May 17, 1946, Laurina was united in marriage to Arlo Gregg and the couple made their home in Marshall while raising 4 children. Laurina was a homemaker and loving mother and then, in 1962, she began housekeeping a the Travels Lodge Motel in Marshall. She kept that position until she retired at the age of 84.
Laurina’s enjoyments in life included dancing, Bingo, going to the casino, camping, traveling, her dogs and most of all, her grandchildren.
Laurina Gregg died on Sunday, July 31, 2016, in Minneota, Minnesota at the age of 92 years and 11 months. Blessed be her memory.
Laurina is survived by three children, Larry (and Julie) Gregg of Marshall, Jerry (and Jane) Gregg of Marshall, Diane Doll of Marshall; daughter-in-law, Therese Gregg of Marshall; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two on the way; sisters, Mable Andres of Marshall, Violet Schultz of Minneapolis; nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Laurina was preceded in death by her parents, Leopold and Minnie Schultz; husband, Arlo Gregg; son, Rick Gregg; and granddaughter, Christina Gregg.
