He was baptized as an infant at Florida Lutheran Church and later confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Porter. LeWayne attended school in Canby, graduating with the high school class of 1982. He went on to further his education at the technical college in Alexandria, Minnesota, where he studied interior design.
LeWayne returned to Marshall and began working for Madden Upholstery. After gaining almost thirteen years of experience there, he started his own business, The Upholstery Company, which LeWayne owned for many years. A few years ago, he began a second business in Pipestone, Minnesota, called Nine Vintiques, where he was able to embrace his favorite hobby of antiquing. He often would combine his gift for repurposing vintage items with his amazing design skills. LeWayne prioritized his family and friends and cherished the time spent with those he loved. His smile, his humor, his friendship, his sense of design, his ability to be a rock and support system for anyone is lost to us forever, but our memories of him will continue to shine forth. He died on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his home in Marshall. He had reached the age of 59 years, 10 months, and 3 days. Blessed be his memory.
