Lisa Jenson, age 62, of Marshall, Minnesota, following a long battle with cancer died on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. at Living Word Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota. The afternoon will close with a Prayer Service and a time to share memories at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are donors' choice – hopefully directed to assist in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer.
Lisa Ann Pitcher was born on December 23, 1960, in Carson City, Michigan. She was the daughter of Charles and Phyllis (Yocum) Pitcher. Lisa attended school in Carson City, graduating high school in 1979.
Lisa was united in marriage to Marcel Collins Jr in Carson City, Michigan on August 11, 1979. Together they had 3 daughters, Lisa was a homemaker and did in-home daycare for friends and neighbors. She also dabbled in real estate. Over the years they moved from Michigan to New York. In 1995 they moved to Marshall, MN where she began her career at Marcotte Jewelry. Their marriage ended after 17 years.
Lisa was united in marriage to Wesley Jenson Jr. on September 7, 2002, in Marshall, MN, where they would share their lives together over the next 20 years. They enjoyed traveling, visiting with family and friends, bonfires in the backyard, attending air shows and any events involving their grandchildren. She worked for a time at Hy-Vee Floral but primarily spent the last 27 years in jewelry sales.
Lisa cherished her family and friendships more than anything. Her enjoyments in life included gardening, knitting, finding the right antique, and going for walks with her dog Tiko.
Lisa lost her battle with breast cancer on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with family by her side. She will be loved and missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Wes Jenson of Marshall; 5 children, Elizabeth (Michael) Motley of Phenix City, AL, Jacquelyn (John) Clark of Tracy, Adrianne (AJ) Hansen of Brookings, SD, Mollie Jenson of Pierz, Andrew (Jackie) Jenson of Wells, ME; 8 grandchildren, Luke Motley, Madison Clark, Noah Clark, Seth Hansen, McKenzy Herman, Mitchell Herman, Mason Herman, Abby Jenson; 3 siblings, Kathy Warfield (Craig Downs) of Auburn, AL, Chris (April) Ross of Montague, MI, Bill (Tim) Gabriel of Carson City, MI; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Charles Pitcher; mother and stepfather, Phyllis & Harold Ross; brother, Bob Pitcher; and nephew, Justin Frame.
