Marshall: Marion J. Wieseke, age 84, of Marshall, passed away at the Pipestone County Hospice Residence on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Hamilton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Marion was born July 13, 1925 to Rudy and Veronica (Pechtl) Gluth in North Redwood. She attended school in Hanley Falls, Cottonwood and graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1943. She then attended and graduated from the Mankato School of Business. She worked at Gluth Implement in Redwood Falls for several years. She also worked at Production Credit Corp. in Redwood Falls and the Marshall Lyon County Library.
On August 28, 1970, she was united in marriage to Bill Wieseke at Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshall.
Marion passed away at the Pipestone County Hospice Residence on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. She had reached the age of 84 years, 11 months and 10 days.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of Marshall; sister, Lucille Cool, of Marshall; three nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Reggie; and nephew, Chuck.
Marion’s enjoyments in life included traveling, music and growing flowers.
She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church.
