MaryEllen Nicholson (nee Wells), age 85, of Lynd died on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Minneota Manor after a courageous battle with cancer. Private family memorial services are pending. The Hamilton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
MaryEllen graduated from high school in Winfred, South Dakota. She went to college in South Dakota and moved to Washington State where she taught school. After moving to Minnesota, she spent many years as a homemaker, raising four children. She enjoyed spending her time doing crafts, knitting, needle, and feeding birds.
MaryEllen in survived by her children, Joanne Wells of Papillion, Nebraska, Janice Luedtke of Owatonna, Jeanne Wells of Muskegon, Michigan, and Craig (and Kim) Wells of St. James, New York; six grandchildren, Troy, David, Sheena, Adam, Drew, and Emily; three great-grandchildren, Rusty, Aaron, and Roan; sister, Lenice (and Harlan) Timmons of Kent, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and siblings.
In lieu of flowers, please designate memorials to Prairie Home Hospice in Marshall.
