MARSHALL — Services for Melissa M. Fertig, 34, will be 10:30 a.m. today at First Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Hamilton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Melissa died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in Pipestone from health complications with her lifelong battle with diabetes.Melissa Marie Paul was born Oct. 31, 1979, in Long Beach, Calif., to Sandra Collier Paul. Melissa grew up in Marshall and attended school there. She graduated in 1998.Melissa leaves behind the joys of her life, a daughter, Leela, 10, and a son, Joshua, 7; boyfriend Dennis; parents Sandra Collier-Renneke and Martin Renneke; two sisters, Shelly Castanada and Nicole “Pickle” Renneke; two brothers, Craig Renneke and Chad (and Michele) Renneke, all of Marshall; three nieces, Ysabel Castanada and McKenzie and Brooklyn Renneke, nephew Austin Renneke and many more family and friends.Blessed be her memory.Condolences can be sent to: Sandra Renneke, 2079 120th Ave. Garvin, MN 56132.
