Patricia Lou Pingeon

Patricia Pingeon, age 70, of Marshall, passed away at the Prairie Home Hospice House in Marshall on Friday, February 12, 2010. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 800 P.M. Monday at the Hamilton Funeral Home.
Patricia Lou was born to Ione Borene Sheimo on January 6, 1940, in Montevideo. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Springfield.
On March 18, 1961 Patricia was united in marriage to James Pingeon in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She was a homemaker for many years and worked at HyVee until 2008.
Patricia’s enjoyment in life included cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Patricia passed away at the Prairie Home Hospice House in Marshall after year and a half battle with cancer. She reached the age of 70 years, 1 month and 6 days.
She is survived by her husband, James of Marshall; children, Dennis Welter of Marshall, Debra Pingeon of Marshall, Mike (and Pam) Pingeon of Marshall, and Sue (and Steve) West of Walnut Grove; grandchildren, Bryan (and Jenna) Pingeon of Portland, Oregon, Brent (and Ashley) Pingeon of Balaton, Brandon Pingeon of Marshall, Kyle West of Walnut Grove, and Amber West of Walnut Grove; siblings, James (and Wendy) Sheimo of Auburn, Maine, Thomas (and Sheri) Sheimo of Lake Crystal, Kathryn Sheimo of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Pam (and Greg) Large of Marshall; also many other relatives and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
