Randy Paradis, age 64, of Marshall, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall, Minnesota, after a brief battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. Following a reception, interment will be in the English Lutheran Cemetery in Cottonwood, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday, May 31, 2019.
Randall Mark Paradis was born February 5, 1955, to Clarence “Clem” and Dorothy (Domine) Paradis. He was baptized Aug. 12, 1955, and then confirmed in 1969 at the English Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, Minnesota. Randy attended school in Marshall, Minnesota, and graduated in 1973. He started his truck driving career at Schwan’s. He also drove for Floyd Wild, Koch, and Praxair. Randy recently retired due to heath issues.
Randy was kind-hearted and quick-witted. He enjoyed a good joke, trying his luck at games of chance, and teaching his nieces and nephews the subtleties of cards. Randy was also an avid baseball fan and enjoyed reading, especially about history.
He is survived by his 3 siblings, Becky (Jim) Turbes of Boone, IA, Cindy (Shorty) Sanow of Garvin, Jim (Sue) Paradis of Slayton; sister-in-law, Mary Paradis of Newton, KS; 9 nieces and nephews, Chris Turbes (Sara Neely), Jamie (Ryan) Sitterle, Treig Sanow, Tori (Drew) Hesse, Toby Paradis, Jake (Kristeen) Paradis, Megan Paradis, Mallory Paradis, Missy Paradis; special friend, Jill Doom; other relatives and many friends.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Paradis and Dorothy Schultz, and brothers, Mitch and Keith Paradis.
