Reymundo Salazar, age 27, of Marshall, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral Services are at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2020, the St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota. Interment will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Milroy, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota.
Reymundo Salazar Jr. was born on April 29, 1992, in Harlingen, Texas, to parents Raymundo Salazar Sr. and Brenda Quesada. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. He grew up in Redwood Falls where he attended High School. After graduating from Redwood Falls High School on June 6, 2010, he worked at the Recycling Center in Redwood Falls.
In April of 2013, Reymundo moved to Marshall where he began working for Advance Opportunities often detailing vehicles. His enjoyments in life included fishing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, electronics, lawn mowing, bowling, and car racing. He enjoyed volunteering during Marshall Volunteer Day raking leaves at Independence Park. Reymundo was described as a polite person with a quiet sense of humor.
Reymundo Salazar Jr. passed away following complications from diabetes on January 7, 2020, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 27 years, 8 months, and 9 days. Blessed be his memory.
Reymundo is survived by his 6 siblings, Marco Estrada of Ash, NC, Taylor Leach of Marshall, Paulina Tay of Brooklyn Park, Maria Leach of Vesta, Juan Kremin of Lake Lillian, and Noe Kremin of Lake Lillian; special friends, Joe and Ann Pavek of Ivanhoe and their children: Terrence, Matthew, Nathan and Heidi; roommate, David Engels of Marshall; other relatives; and Advanced Opportunity staff and friends.
Reymundo is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Quesada, and his grandmother, Isabel Quesada.
