Robert Lloyd Anderson

Robert Anderson, age 71, of Marshall, Minnesota, died on Monday, March 21, 2022, at his home. A private graveside service is planned for a later date in the New Woodlawn Cemetery, Pipestone, Minnesota.

Robert Lloyd Anderson was born on January 21, 1951, in Pipestone, Minnesota, to parents Lloyd and Darlene (Freese) Anderson. He grew up in Pipestone while being baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his youth in the Methodist Church. He attended school in Pipestone and after high school Robert continued his education at the local vocational college. Robert went on to serve at the lumberyard, working his way up into management.

On May 13, 1997, Robert was united in marriage to Joanne Meulebroeck at the Methodist Church in Marshall. The couple made their home in Lynd, Minnesota. Robert and Joanne spent nearly six years of marriage together before her death in 2003. Robert later moved to Marshall where he recently had been working at the Hy-Vee grocery store.

Robert’s enjoyments in life included spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. When not working, he cherished time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

Robert Anderson died on Monday, March 21, 2022, at his home. He reached the age of 71 years and 2 months. Blessed be his memory.

Robert is survived by his stepchildren, Kelly Caron of Marshall, Mike DeVries of Arco; grandchildren, Dustin Krause of Tracy, Brittany (and Dustin) Johnson of Ruthton; sister, Margaret Graue of Coolidge, Arizona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Darlene Anderson; wife, Joanne Anderson; brother, Terrance Anderson; and stepdaughter, Kristi DeVries.
