Rolland Miller, age 79, of Marshall, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2007 at the Prairie Home Hospice House. Funeral services are planned for 2:30 PM on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Albright Methodist Church in Marshall. Visitation will be held from on Sunday, June 22, from 6 to 8 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
Rolland John Miller was born on November 12, 1928, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Lloyd and Lillian (Greve) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed in Marshall. Rolland was a lifelong resident of Marshall and he attended and graduated from Marshall High School. He was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked in various capacities around Marshall and retired fro the Coca-Cola Company in Marshall.
His enjoyments in life included hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was a life-long member of Albright Methodist Church and its predecessors. He was very active in the church until his illness. He also was a member of the American Legion.
Rolland passed away at the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 6 days.
Survivors include his brother, Duane Miller of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Helen Miller of Houston, TX; nephews, Thomas Miller of League City, TX, and John Miller of Houston, TX; and niece, Kristine Neitman of Everett, WA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Miller, and mother, Lillian Miller.
