Ryan Joseph Besse

Garvin: Ryan Joseph Besse, age 36 of Garvin, passed away at his home on Friday, June 7, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Grace First Parish in Russell. Visitation will be Monday, June 10 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall with a Prayer Service at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Russell City Cemetery.
Ryan Joseph was born on September 14, 1976 in Marshall, Minnesota to Marlin and Cathy (Stanton) Besse. He was baptized at Holy Redeemer Church. Ryan and his family resided in Russell, Marshall, and Garvin. He attended school in Tracy, Minnesota graduating from Tracy High School in 1995.
Ryan began working for the family business, Besse Construction, Inc. when he was just 12 years old. He continued to work there throughout his life and eventually became part owner.
Ryan lived life to the fullest and participated in many outdoor activities. He loved riding his Harley Motorcycle, fishing and hunting, grilling, and relaxing by a bonfire. Ryan also enjoyed spending time with family and many friends, shooting pool, playing cards, spending time with his pets, and watching the Minnesota Vikings.
Ryan passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with lymphoma cancer.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Marlin and Cathy of Garvin; sisters, Wendy (Pat) Goltz of Sartell, Dawn (Mark) Kunkel of Balaton; nephew and niece, Parker and Jordan Kunkel; maternal grandmother, June Stanton of Russell; his cat, Captain and his dog, Morgan.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Regina Besse; maternal grandfather, Robert Stanton; uncles, Melvin Besse and Bill Williams; cousins, Jennifer Stanton and Christopher Stanton.
