Garvin: Sandra Lee Miller, age 65, of Garvin, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center. Celebration of Sandra’s Life will be held at a later date. Hamilton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Sandra Lee was born on March 21, 1948 to Ulrich and Janet (Mayer) Shaurette in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. Sandy majored in psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
On March 5, 1999, Sandy was united in marriage to Clarence “Jack” Miller in the Cayman Islands. Sandy worked at MCP and retired in 2003. She later worked part time as a medical transcriptionist at Avera Hospital in Marshall.
Sandy passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center. She had reached the age of 65 years, 10 months and 26 days.
She is survived by her husband, Jack, of Garvin; pets, Doogie, Poppy and Webster; and aunt, Alice Erdman, of Wausau, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Through the years Sandy had played the bassoon in the Marshall City Band and later the Tracy Community Band. While living in Marshall she was a member of the Ecumenibels Hand Bell Choir.
Sandy’s enjoyments in life included reading, her dogs and relaxing at Oak Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Tracy Area Animal Rescue (TAAR) and Marshall Pet Rescue.
