Shawn Micheal Lemburg

Shawn Lemburg, age 29, of Walnut Grove, Minnesota, died on Friday, April 29, 2022, as the result of a motor vehicle accident near Marshall, Minnesota. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. A reception for attendees will follow. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service on Friday, from noon – 2:00 p.m., at the Hamilton Funeral Home.

Shawn Micheal Lemburg was born on June 14, 1992, in Norfolk, Virginia, to parents Robert and Kimberly (Morris) Lemburg. At age 3 his family moved to Lynd, Minnesota, and Shawn attended school in Marshall. He graduated there with the high school class of 2010 and subsequently moved to Rapid City, South Dakota with his life partner, Josh.

Shawn worked at Walmart for a few years before he and Josh moved back to Walnut Grove, Minnesota. Shawn had been currently working at Vishay HiRel in production of various medical devices.

Shawn had a devotion to animals as they had several pets over the years including five dogs, three cats, and a variety of other pets. He enjoyed his vehicles and owned several over the years – he recently purchased a nice red Chevy Silverado. Shawn also enjoyed shopping, fishing, going to auctions, checking out his Facebook feed, and fostering his many friendships. He'll be fondly remembered as having a great sense of humor and a goofy streak.

He is survived by his partner, Josh Tolley of Walnut Grove; mother, Kim (and Rob) Peterson of Walnut Grove; father, Robert (and Jolynn) Lemburg of Lynd; sister, Samantha Lemburg (and Tyler Laleman) of Marshall; brothers, Hank and Michael Peterson of Walnut Grove; step-sisters, Tara Norstegard (Antone) of Duluth, Brittany Goblirsch (John) of Wabasso; grandparents, Sonja (and David) Starnes of Currie, Kenneth Morris of Balaton, Aggie (and Paul) Cleveland of Arlington, SD, Shirley Sliker of Walnut Grove; nephews, Torrin and Tripp Laleman; other relatives and many friends.

Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Dennis Lemburg.
