Sheldon Warren Adams, age 55, of Marshall, Minnesota, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at his home in Marshall. Memorial Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Marshall Evangelical Free Church in Marshall, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the Marshall Evangelical Free Church in Marshall, Minnesota. A prayer service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday at the church. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the Mission Evangelical Free Cemetery near Wilton, North Dakota.
Sheldon Warren Adams was born on June 16, 1962, in Fargo, North Dakota. He was the son of Warren and Vivian (Carlson) Adams. He attended school in Wilton, North Dakota, graduating there with the class of 1980. He went on to attend Northwestern College in Roseville, Minnesota.
On May 15, 1987, Sheldon was married to Karla Stoltz. They were remarried on December 20, 1997, sharing over 24 years of marriage together. The couple made their home in Dickinson, North Dakota, and had 5 children: Nichole, Bryce, Brandon, Justin, and Natasha. Sheldon and Karla moved to Marshall in 1999.
Sheldon was a hard-working man who spent much of his career as a mill operator with ADM at the corn plant in Marshall, Minnesota. He also took great pride in working in his community. Sheldon was a faithful member of Marshall Evangelical Free Church in Marshall, serving as Deacon. He was also a 12-year member of 4-H, Special Olympics coach, co-chair of both the Safety Audit and Safety Mentor at ADM, member of the plant safety commission at ADM, AFS committee member and host, Habitat for humanity, and Relay for Life member and advocate.
Sheldon’s enjoyments in life included camping, woodworking, attending auction, music, and time spent with his beloved family. He will be dearly missed.

Sheldon is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Vivian Adams; sons, Bryce and Brandon Adams; and grandson, Christopher Soderberg and father-in-law, Leo Stoltz. Blessed and eternal be his memory.
The family invites attendees to a reception in the church basement following the service on Friday.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Marshall EFree Music program and other church scholarships.
