Treavor Kroger, age 52, of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, and formerly of Cottonwood, Minnesota, died on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the William S. Middelton Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Funeral Services are 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood. Interment will follow in the St. Clotilde Catholic Cemetery, Green Valley, Minnesota. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the church.
Treavor Jon Kroger was born to William “Bill” and Joyce Steinhouse Kroger on May 3, 1967, in Granite Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, Minnesota and later celebrated his commitment to Christ with a believer’s baptism. Treavor attended school in Cottonwood and graduated with the high school class of 1985. Treavor then joined the United States Air Force and served his county for four years. Upon returning home, he began his more than twenty-six year career with the Department of Justice.
On September 17, 1994, Treavor was united in marriage to Carla Steele in San Diego, California. Together they enjoyed almost 25 married adventurous years together which eventually included their son Khyle along for the fun.
Treavor was a servant of God and had a great love for the Lord, his family and others whether or not he knew you personally. He was an effective leader and taught leadership classes both at work and in his church, a member of the Rescue Squad in Pike Lake, MN. He was hardworking, kind, honorable, generous, a talented marksman, and enjoyed traditional archery. While battling ALS, he continued to show his strength, compassion for others and service to God.
Treavor Kroger passed away on July 6, 2019, at the age of 52 years, 2 months, and 3 day and will be missed by so many.
Treavor is survived by his wife, Carla Kroger of Lake Delton, WI; son, Khyle Kroger of Lake Delton, WI; parents, Bill and Joyce Kroger of Orlando, FL; siblings, Nicholas (and Jennifer) of Orlando, FL, Rhonda Kroger of Greenville, SC, Shane Kroger of Marshall, Joyell Kroger of Murrells Inlet, SC; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Eddie and Avis Kroger and Herbert and Meta Steinhouse; Uncles, Ralph Kroger, James “Jim” Kroger, and Jack Kroger.
