What is Healing Connections Aftercare?
Healing Connections Aftercare is a local resource, facilitated by Shelly Versaevel, a compassionate and experienced licensed social worker. Shelly is a natural partner for us as she has previously provided care for individuals and families while serving in long term care,
hospice, and caregiver support services. Shelly offers an understanding of grief and loss with a commitment to provide care that fosters hope for the future.
Together, we aim to confirm and acknowledge the loss, help celebrate the past, discover meaning after loss, explore avenues of hope for the future, and then tailor care based on your individual needs. It is vital that you feel supported, heard, and validated through this loss.
After things have quieted down, how can we help?
Healing Connections Aftercare offers support through phone calls, individual meetings, access to local and national resources, mailings, activities, intentional community events, and Healing Connection Groups offered yearly in the spring and fall.
